Costume, character and production, held together.
For the creator whose costume and character work was the most accomplished across the qualifying year. This is a craft category: construction, styling, lighting, staging and the discipline of staying in character.
Open to creators aged 18 or over who published costume or character work during the qualifying year. Costumes may be made or commissioned, and where commissioned the maker should be credited in the nomination.
Judges weigh construction and finish, fidelity of character, and the quality of the photography or video around it. A commissioned costume worn well scores below one conceived and built by the creator.
The finalists for this category will appear here when the panel has completed its judging.
What the work means to the people it reached.
How squarely the work sits in the category it was entered in.
Scores are submitted independently by each judge and are immutable once submitted. Audience size is not a criterion.
