A visual identity carried through the work.
For the tattooed creator whose visual identity is a deliberate part of the work rather than incidental to it, and whose output across the qualifying year was the strongest in the category.
Open to creators aged 18 or over. Category placement is self-declared at nomination, and a creator may be nominated in more than one category.
Judges weigh how coherently the visual identity runs through a body of work, alongside the usual criteria of craft and consistency. A tattoo is not an achievement; what is built around it can be.
The finalists for this category will appear here when the panel has completed its judging.
What the work means to the people it reached.
How squarely the work sits in the category it was entered in.
Scores are submitted independently by each judge and are immutable once submitted. Audience size is not a criterion.
