The standard-setter in one of the industry's largest genres.
A genre PALMA. For the creator whose work in this category defined it across the qualifying year, judged on craft, consistency and the strength of the body of work like any other honour.
Open to creators aged 18 or over whose published work during the qualifying year sits substantially within this genre. Genre placement is self-declared at nomination, and a creator may be nominated in more than one category.
Judges weigh production quality, range and consistency across the year. Genre popularity is not a criterion, and a category with a large audience is not thereby an easier one to win.
Finalists in this category are announced once judging is complete. Nominations close at the end of the nomination window.
What the work means to the people it reached.
How squarely the work sits in the category it was entered in.
Scores are submitted independently by each judge and are immutable once submitted. Audience size is not a criterion.
